This Covenant is the ideal of God—it is termed "better" when contrasted with the Old Covenant.
In that he says, "A new covenant," he has made the first old. But that which is becoming old and grows aged is near to vanishing away. (Hebrews 8:13)
The New Covenant embodies the fullness of what Yahweh desired for mankind from the beginning—access to His very Life, Who is the Lord JesusChrist, His only Son.
This Covenant has tremendous blessings, duties, and ramifications for all the peoples of the world.
19For I, through the law, died to the law, that I might live to God. 20I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me. 21I don't make void the grace of God. For if righteousness is through the law, then Christ died for nothing!" (Galatians 2:19-21)
